- Serve as Co\-Lead and primary administrative support for the Belonging \& Community and Wellness committees, helping set direction and keeping initiatives on track.
- Coordinate committee meetings, department retreats, and cross\-functional task forces.
- Function as the first point of contact for committee inquiries.
- Track program initiatives and strategic plan progress.
- Manage budgets and expenses.
- Develop and distribute program communications that keep the department informed and engaged.
- Plan and execute events of all sizes from casual team gatherings to department\-wide celebrations and professional conferences.
- Own event\-day operations from setup through breakdown, ensuring everything runs on time and on budget.
- Coordinate logistics and communications for speakers and attendees.
- Develop promotional materials including flyers, signage, and digital content.
- Manage event budgets and procurement.
- Lead planning and execution for in\-person and virtual MUA programs, which introduce prospective students to careers in urology.
- Manage applications, databases, and mentoring schedules.
- Coordinate travel, lodging, meals, and surveys.
- Organize the spring and fall Nesbit Society events that bring together alumni, faculty, and trainees.
- Support invited speakers and Continuing Medical Education (CME) compliance.
- Manage website updates, alumni data, and sponsorship workflows.
- Write and produce newsletters, promotional materials, and announcements that tell the department?s story.
- Maintain files, records, and program documentation.
- Prepare figures, tables, and visual assets for faculty manuscripts and presentations.
- Provide calendar management and prioritize schedules.
- Process expense reports.
- Coordinate faculty travel and professional dues.
- Support day\-to\-day office operations and help keep the team running smoothly.
- Coordinate clinical study logistics, participant scheduling, and research team communications.
- Manage study participant randomization and enrollment procedures.
- Serve as the department's sustainability lead, championing environmentally responsible practices.
- Support certification, zero\-waste events, and outreach.
- Manage AV setup, Zoom logistics, and live\-event production for Grand Rounds?the department?s weekly educational lecture series.
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure CME compliance for each session.

- Bachelor's degree or minimum of five years relevant administrative experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives
- Excellence in both formal and interpersonal communication
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, initiative, independent judgement, and diplomacy
- History of integrity, independent problem\-solving, and taking initiative without being asked
- Exceptional ability to remain calm in stressful and sensitive situations
- Comfort building relationships across a large campus and engaging with professional associations
- Experience with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements and compliance

The Department of Urology at Michigan Medicine is one of the top\-ranked urology programs in the country. The Belonging \& Community, Wellness, and Strategic Event Coordinator plays a key role in shaping the department's culture by driving programs that help our people feel connected, supported, and engaged. This position serves as the central resource for our Belonging \& Community (B\&C), Wellness, and Nesbit Society (alumni and continuing education) committees' owning the planning, logistics, communications, budgets, and reporting for initiatives that span from intimate team retreats to nationally recognized alumni events. Work Schedule
Monday\-Friday 8am\-4:30pm with some evenings and weekends for events
