Are you an organized, tech\-savvy professional with a passion for boats? Do you thrive in an environment where precision matters?
We are a trusted, elite marine surveying firm operating in the high\-stakes world of yachts (30\-200\+ ft), sportfish’s (30\-80\+ft) trawlers, cruisers, center consoles, monohull sailboats (year 2000\+), catamarans (36ft\+), drone ships, salvage vessels, and commercial fleets (tugs/barges). We provide crucial surveys and appraisals for banks, insurers, the state, and high\-net\-worth owners, often involving sensitive, sometimes confidential projects.
We are looking for an Office/Project Manager to join our laid\-back, fun, yet intensely professional team.
What You’ll Do (The Role):
* Master Scheduler: Coordinate and re\-schedule work for marine surveyors in the field. You must maximize fuel and time efficiency, navigating changing client availability and complex logistics within gated communities, state facilities, military bases, storage facilities, \& marinas (e.g., travel\-lift timings, blocked boat access)
* Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance agents, state agents, manufacturers, and bank loan officers, keeping all parties in the loop. Documenting all communication.
* Report To Management: Review, edit, and finalize survey reports before submitting for final review/signatures.
* The Administrative Hub: Handle scanning, emailing, \& digital organization. A bonus: The ability to do a very occasional physical delivery of documents to offices (with mileage compensation)
* Field Support \& Technology: Act as the "ground control" for field surveyors—they are often under boats, operating equipment, wearing gloves, or in tight engine rooms, so you handle communication so they don’t have to.
* Digital Innovation: Utilize apps/tablets, IE: BusyCal, \& maintain digital workflows, with ability to integrate photos, 3\-D images/video, and work with new AI defect\-detection tools (Navalmartin) when required.
Who You Are (Requirements):
* Boat Knowledge: You have a solid basic understanding of the many different boat types (primarily determining estimated duration of time for surveys to be completed for each) and are eager to learn more.
* Organization Addict: Unbeatable organizational skills. No room for error.
* Tech Savvy: Must be comfortable with basic programs like iCloud Calendar \& Google Calendar. Experience with InspectX, Force5, BusyCal, or 3D inspection systems is a massive plus.
* Proactive Communicator: You know when to call, text, or when to wait.
Why Us? (The Perks):
* 100% Remote: Work from home. Aside from a rare trip to a local client‘s office.
* Flexible Hours: While the work is serious, the work averages less than 6 hours daily (including occasional 8\+ hour days). You can choose to begin the next days work the night before for a later start as long as 24hr deadlines are met. 1/2 your day is prep for the next, the other half is finalizing the day before. Dealing with live issues as you go.
* Stability \& Growth: Salaried position. We are at point of being selective in our work and can grow with the ambition and direction of our project manager, how well you can manage the current work load, and enable our team to take on more. We grow as a team.
* Bonus Opportunities: Especially after storm/hurricane surges where extra work (6\-day weeks) may be required.
* Paid Vacations: 2 wks within first year after 6 months. 3 wks after 1st year. Additional 5 day paid company retreat to the Bahamas. Family’s welcome.
* Bring Your Pet to Work: You work at home.
* Causal Fridays: See above.
* Company Culture: We are sarcastic, fun, and take immense pride in being the final word for loan approvals, accurate valuations, marine insurance payouts, and most importantly: owner safety.

Send us a resume that shows you can handle the logistics and a boss that doesn’t get mad if you answer the phone before turning good music down (just don’t put more food in your mouth!)
We may not be stuck in an office together, but we are a tight team. Please include your interests and hobbies. We care more about what life experiences have taught you than what a university has. We want you to have pride and appreciation for what you do.
Who Are We?
DS Marine Surveying is a purpose\-driven, owner\-operated team of more than marine experts. We are dedicated to environmental stewardship in this field and take pride in supporting events that make our community stronger.
As a bottom\-up, zero\-waste organization, we prioritize sustainable practices in everything we do, including our on or above water practices while working with transom zincs, fiberglass, plastics, heavy metals, keel lead, fuel, or petroleum and the tests/shipping of them. We are deeply committed to our local community, acting as grassroots supporters, participants, volunteers, or sponsors for environmental causes, disability advocacy, child or animal welfare initiatives. From non\-profit marathons, surfing for handicapped athletes, children’s fishing events, autism awareness, or local conservation efforts. Fact is: Boating has a carbon footprint. We take the extra measures in ensuring ‘our’ vessels are operating to EPA standards and give back however we can, wherever we can. Water is life. Family first.
Who We’re Not:
Because this has been a common question: Fret not, we are not educators. We do not survey owner re\-fit sailboats with hull ID’s older than ’00\. As much as we respect the learning process, connection to their vessel, and the lifestyle they are after. It’s just not this business to be liable for the influx of mistakes created by social media influencers and their followers. You will not have to deal with that here.
Equal opportunity employer.
