Position Summary:

The Part\-Time Administrative Assistant provides clerical and organizational support to the Chamber of Commerce. This role assists with daily office operations, member communications, event coordination, and record keeping to help ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Chamber.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support including answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.

Maintain and update membership records and contact databases.

Assist with planning and coordinating Chamber events, meetings, and programs.

Help prepare newsletters, social media posts, and other communications.

Process membership applications, renewals, and payments.

Maintain office files, documents, and supplies.

Provide support to the Executive Director and Board as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

Previous administrative or office experience preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and data entry.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Work Schedule Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with occasional assistance at Chamber events which may occur outside normal business hours. Contract Employee/Pay The position is a Contract Employee (healthcare insurance, vacation leave, or retirement benefits will not be provided). Bi\-Weekly pay checks with the starting pay at $18\.00 per hour. A 1099 will be issued at the end of the year for tax purposes.

Physical Requirements:

This role will typically involve sitting, standing, walking up or down stairs, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 15lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to support employees in performing the essential duties of this role.
