Avery Lane is a fine furniture, antiquities and art consignment showroom featuring luxury items from some of Arizona's finest homes. We offer a fun and friendly shopping experience and are fortunate to have many loyal regulars including lots of seasonal residents. AVERY LANE IS GROWING and we want team members to GROW WITH US. We just opened our third showroom featuring unique French, Italian and American furniture in a wide variety of styles from antiques to contemporary. We are located on the Greenway Hayden Loop very close to the Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland with easy Freeway access.

Position Summary:

WAREHOUSE RECEIVING ASSISTANT

(MUST HAVE SOME WAREHOUSE ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE \- Please do not apply if you have never worked in either field)

*THE JOB:*

Inspect newly arrived merchandise and record information such as brand, size and any defects. Very accurately take notes on incoming inventory and type into software system.

Photograph Items and then use computer system to correctly organize merchandise and create TAG to ready the item for placement in the showroom.

Preparing inventory tags and back\-ups for new items

Placing the tags on the items on the sales floor or in the warehouse

Updating inventory database with pricing information

Overseeing the Damage Reports for new vendor inventory through their Claims software systems. This needs to be very organized and done in a timely and efficient manner.

Overseeing the Chandelier Division for exacting tagging and providing detailed measurements,

Overseeing the Donation Division to coordinate monthly outgoing shipments of donations to various local charities. Confirming the furniture owners and providing them with timely donation slips.

Filing \& answering phones as needed

Primarily a warehouse/administrtive position, but there is a fair amount of walking to effectively tag the inventory. It's fun to walk around the beautiful showroom and see the interesting vignettes and chat with the warehouse crew as new items arrive and are unpacked. We have a lively team!

Must be strong at computer functions, STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL and enjoy BOTH office and warehouse work

Potential for work updating the website, graphic work and correspondence so these skills would be valuable.

SKILLS NEEDED:

\-\_Ability to work as a team player and interact with co\-workers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.\_

\-Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively

\-Need to be very organized and detail oriented

\-Should be comfortable in a data entry setting (private office) \- sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time as well as working in the warehouse with the team..

\-\-Spirit of team work, positive attitude and strong work ethic are mandatory. We love team members who smile, laugh and make our work environment enjoyable. No negativity or whiners.

\-\-Must be a self\-starter and able to self\-manage projects from start to finish.

\\ Must have 2 forms of ID and pass E\-Verify

Education: High School Diploma/GED

VET Friendly

SCHEDULE: 5 days per week \- Monday thru Friday (we can be flexible)

WAGE: $18/hour to start and $20/hour after 60\-day training period (please don't apply and request $20/hour to start);

Well Above Minimum Wage with raise after 60\-day trial period and bonus upon 1\-year anniversary

Monthly Bonuses ($300/$500\) after 60\-day training period based on sales volume and customer satisfaction

Health Insurance \& 401K Plan after 60 days (full time status required for Employer paid insurance or match))
