  • Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS plus at least 2 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 6 years.
  • Experience with interviewing and neurocognitive testing of adolescents and adults
  • At least one year prior experience working in a research context or conducting clinical interviews
  • At least one year prior experience recruiting research participants
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends and accommodate a flexible work schedule (3\-4 evenings per week and 4 weekend days per month).
  • Excellent verbal communication skills \- must be comfortable speaking on the phone during recruitment and assessment calls.
  • The Minnesota Center for Twin and Family Research (MCTFR) seeks to hire a Lead Research Assistant (8352SM: Research Professional 2 Social Sciences Multidiscipline) responsible for executing tasks in a project examining the long\-term impact of Recreational Cannabis Legalization. The COMN/PATHS project is recruiting twins, their children, and other family members for self\-report assessments, clinical interviews, and neuropsychological testing. This position will be directly engaged with participant recruitment and assessment, and work with the Principal Recruiter and Study Coordinator to oversee project recruitment, assessments and data quality. This role will work closely with MCTFR research participants and MCTFR co\-investigators. This role requires onsite work at Elliott Hall, and flexible scheduling, including remote work on some evenings and weekends.

    Responsibilities:

    (30%) Interview Research Participants:

  • Conduct clinical assessments both in\-person and via phone/Zoom, including structured interviews of psychopathology and related conditions.
  • Thoroughly explain study, answer participant questions, and obtain informed consent or assent.
  • Maintain required assessment documentation.
  • (40%) Recruit Study Participants:

  • Contact and recruit research participants to participate in a research protocol. Schedule assessments and maintain contact with participants prior to their appointments to ensure assessment completion.
  • Maintain digital records of recruitment information and schedules in order to ensure timely and complete participation in the research protocol.
  • (30%) Study\-Related Administrative Tasks (including but not limited to):

  • Monitor project assessment recruitment, tracking, and assessment staffing
  • Oversight of participant payments, consent forms, and DNA samples
  • Training new personnel on study procedures and participant relocation
  • Oversight and entry of assessment and recruitment data into MCTFR database
  • Assists with project data management and other miscellaneous projects.
