Dental Receptionist
Gillihan Periodontics
Gillihan Periodontics is a fast paced periodontal practice committed to delivering exceptional care and supporting our patients’ long term dental health. We are looking for a friendly, organized Dental Receptionist to join our team and help create a welcoming and efficient front office experience.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, helping ensure each interaction is positive, professional, and supportive. You will play a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly while contributing to a team focused on high quality care.
A candidate with cross trained Dental Assistant experience would be highly beneficial, as this role may occasionally support clinical needs when needed.
Schedule: Full Time, Monday \- Thursday 8am\-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming, professional environment
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider calendars
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communication
- Maintain patient records and ensure accurate data entry
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with administrative support as needed
- Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1\+ years of dental front office experience
- Prior Dental Assisting experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail\-oriented
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of dental insurance and billing procedures

The salary range for this role is $20\-$24 per hour.
