Responsibilities:

This customer service role supports both our customers and to our branches.

For our ideal candidate to be successful in this position they must have the ability to interact effectively in a fast\-paced environment under pressure while remaining patient, kind, resourceful, flexible, and effective. A professional demeanor with good people skills. Full attendance and adhering to the work schedule are essential for this position. Ability to stay focused and committed to accomplishing daily tasks, while taking pride in their quality of work. Strive to build strong rapports with our customers and build robust working relationships with colleagues.

• Handle high\-volume calls and direct to appropriate staff
• Verify and release customer sales orders
• Process invoices, statements, and account allocations
• Open new job, credit, and cash accounts
• Verify sales tax rates via BOE website
• Manage refund requests and credit reference forms
• Prepare and track notices for liens, mechanic lien filings, and collections
• Update customer accounts and CA numbers daily in MIS
• Run weekly lien aging reports and follow up on accounts
• Prepare lien releases for customers

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or sales support role (experience in wholesale distribution, plumbing/HVAC, construction supply, or related industries is a strong plus).
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., inventory/sales software) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills — professional phone etiquette, clear written correspondence, and ability to interact effectively with contractors and team members.
• Detail\-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast\-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing products, terminology, or construction industry preferred but not required — we provide training!
• Reliable, team\-player attitude with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
