Duties Description The Nursing Assistants (Certified) have primary responsibility for the direct hands\-on care rendered to the residents of the Home.The Nursing Assistants (Certified) perform duties similar to those of a Nursing Assistant 2\-however, because they are certified NYS Nurse Aides, they are permitted to perform additional duties, including: Measure and record fluid and food intake; care for ostomies, including but not limited to colostomy and ileostomy; maintain individualized range of motion to prevent contractures; recognize and report abnormal signs and symptoms of common diseases and conditions; pain management; provide for mental health and social service needs.

The posted salary range includes statutory hiring rate at step 4 and job rate for CSEA Grade 8 ($40,391 \- $49,743\), plus an additional geographic pay differential of $4,000\.If applicable, the inconvenience pay program of $575 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4\) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.
