ChristianaCare's Outpatient Adult Psychiatry at the Wilmington Hospital\- Gateway is seeking a professional, dependable, detail\-oriented *Medical Assistant I
- with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.
- Monday through Friday : 8am to 4:30pm
- Requires flexibility to travel to additional sites and provide cross‑coverage within New Castle County
- No weekends or holidays
- Enjoy low deductibles, plus $0 copays for unlimited primary care (in‑office or virtual) with ChristianaCare providers and unlimited urgent care visits at GoHealth facilities.
- greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

The Outpatient Adult Psychiatry \& Therapy practice is a highly respected, multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive, confidential mental and emotional health care. Our clinicians including psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, mental‑health counselors, and board‑certified psychiatrists deliver tailored evaluation and treatment services supported by the full resources of ChristianaCare. We care for patients experiencing a wide range of behavioral‑health needs, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, relationship and family challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, and other emotional or mental‑health concerns. Our integrated model ensures patients receive convenient, coordinated support from a team committed to high‑quality, compassionate care.

Hourly Pay Range: $19\.10 \- $27\.69
