Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Sales Manager to join our vibrant retail team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and staff scheduling.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise sales associates to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies and ensure proper stock placement to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct employee orientation, training \& development sessions to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
- Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering activities with accuracy and integrity.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock replenishments, and coordinate purchasing to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Enforce store policies related to pricing, promotions, and safety protocols while ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Assist with budgeting, payroll processing, and administrative tasks to support overall store management.
- Proven experience in retail sales management or assistant manager roles within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Proficiency in retail math, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and store operations.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, training \& development, and marketing initiatives.
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast\-paced setting.
- Experience with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours including shifts; strong time management skills are essential.
- A positive attitude with strong customer service skills and phone etiquette; bilingual candidates preferred for broader communication reach.
