We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Clinical Science team as a Data Science Intern. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various aspects of Clinical Data Science while working closely with our experienced healthcare professionals. We are committed to providing real work opportunities for intern candidates through hands\-on experience and a variety of projects.Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with raw source clinical data generated internally
- Perform data cleaning, validation, normalization, and structured transformation
- Debug, optimize, and expand an existing Python\-based data dashboard
- Contribute to documentation and system reproducibility standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot Python workflows running on a virtual machine
- Data entry
- Data transfer
- Participating in ad\-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Clinical Science, Clinical Informatics, or a related field.
- Python (strong working knowledge required)
- SQL (strong working knowledge required)
- Familiarity with Windows Virtual Machines and Data dashboards (Shiny, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Gain valuable experience in the field of data science and Clinical Studies for medical devices.

Base Pay:
Expected Base Pay Range: $22\.00 to $25\.00 hourly based on degree level.
The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full\-time schedule.Benefits:
