The President and Owner of Blackwood is seeking an Executive Assistant to support continued scaling of the business with the goal of enabling more frequent and consistent industry interaction. This individual will own and help manage the rhythm of the business in close partnership with the senior executives, including agenda management, notes, logistics, and follow\-ups. Primary responsibilities include schedule coordination, domestic travel planning, and general administration related to executive activities.

In addition to core EA responsibilities, this individual will have oversight of the Blackwood Innovation Center (122 Severn Ave. Annapolis, MD 21403\) and should expect to be in the office 3\+ days/week. This space is designed to host collaborative sessions and offers a variety of workspaces and technology\-enabled environments for intermittent usage by Blackwood employees and partners. Facility Management, stocking of supplies, and occasional hosting of external parties is part of the job.

This position demands an individual with lots of initiative and the ability to learn quickly. You should expect to manage internal and external relationships and possess superb communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: EA Responsibilities:

  • For the President \& Owner
  • + Coordination of all Internal and External Meetings

    + Oversight of Customer Executive Meeting Cadence

    + Attendance and Participation in Staff Meetings

    + Creation and Maintenance of Corporate Calendar

    + Assistance with Executive Communications (Direct \+ Social Media)

    + Liaison for relaying and exchanging information with assigned Executives.

    + Domestic Travel, Expenses, and Scheduling

  • Assisting with external meeting scheduling for COO \| CTO \| CFO
  • Assisting with complicated travel for COO \| CTO \| CFO
  • Assisting with expenses as available for COO \| CTO \| CFO
  • Additional Projects as Requested by President
  • Facilities Manager Responsibilities:

  • Blackwood Innovation Center Coordination
  • + Facility Management Companies (Cleaning, Repairs \& Upgrades)

  • Facility Supplies Stocking (Coffee Bar, Drinks, Paper Products)
  • Physical Presence (In office 3\+ Days/Week)
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience supporting a Sales organization is highly desirable.
  • Additional Qualifications

  • You are an incredibly bright, high\-energy individual, with a passion to learn and contribute.
  • You are outgoing with strong relationship management skills to build a personal network throughout the company and industry.
  • You are a people person and work across the organization with employees of all levels and in all departments.
  • You have a minimum of 7 years’ work experience in the capacity of an Executive Assistant supporting multiple senior executives.
  • You are willing to work 3\+ Days/Week from the office and travel as needed (up to 10%).
  • You are comfortable with frequent access to confidential information and ability to exercise extreme discretion.
  • You quickly learn and follow organizational policies, practices, and operations.
  • You have killer Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Calendaring skills.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong editing skills.
  • You are detail oriented and have deep experience performing administrative work that requires analysis, initiative, discretion, and independent judgment.
  • You have demonstrated ability to continuously acquire new competencies and are willing to be flexible in response to changing priorities and needs.
  • You work independently with the ability to prioritize long task lists and meet deadlines with little direction in an often highly ambiguous environment.
