- Process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, or Ceridian, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, deductions, and benefits.
- Perform detailed data entry for employee hours, wages, bonuses, and deductions into payroll and accounting software like QuickBooks or other financial systems.
- Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting practices and ensure all journal entries are accurately recorded.
- Manage benefits administration tasks including enrollments, updates, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct account reconciliations related to payroll expenses, taxes, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial transactions.
- Assist with tax filings and compliance reporting related to payroll taxes and governmental regulations.
- Support HRIS systems integration for seamless payroll processing and employee data management.
- Maintain meticulous records of payroll transactions, employee information, and audit trails for internal review or external audits.
- Collaborate with human resources to ensure accurate benefits administration and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
- Proficiency in payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits \& credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Experience with financial concepts related to payroll processing, benefits administration, and governmental accounting standards.
- Skilled in data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with tax regulations affecting payroll processing and experience with tax filing procedures.
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively using analysis skills to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Knowledge of various accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms used for bookkeeping purposes.
- Understanding of human resources processes including HRIS systems integration and benefits management.
