Position Title: Sleep Coordinator
Location: Lakewood, CO
Employment Type: Part\-time 28\-34\-h/week; Approximately 5 hours per day Monday\-Friday. Partial remote work opportunity in the future.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, detail\-oriented, and personable Sleep Coordinator who is excited to learn and educate patients about Sleep Disordered Breathing and it's impacts on their health. This position blends patient care, education, administrative expertise, medical insurance billing and communication with healthcare providers. Your goal will be to ensure patients fully understand their treatment options, feel supported, and move confidently toward better health.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in health fairs and company promotional events to educate patients about dangers of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
- Take patient's vitals, and assist the doctor with patient exams, device titration and delivery, clearly record all required information.
- Review insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities.
- File claims with medical insurance.
- Guide patients through the dental sleep medicine process: screening, patient education, sleep study facilitation, patient support through testing, handling insurance and financial processes, tracking patient progress and re\-engaging previous patients.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with patients, providers, and team members.
- Accurately document all patient interactions and case notes.
- Perform computer\-based tasks including data entry, reports, and insurance pre\-authorization and verification, medical claim submission.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Resolve patient concerns or complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain organized patient files and office records.
- Assist patients with general information about sleep disorders.
- Maintain clean office environment.
- Support the practice with clerical duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1\-2 years of experience with medical billing, dental/medical administration, or sleep medicine preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Strong typing, organizational, and time\-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and, at times, off\-site.
- Comfortable working with a variety of patients and maintaining professionalism at all times.
