Duties

- Edit and proofread transcripts to ensure clarity, grammatical correctness, and adherence to style guidelines such as the Chicago Manual of Style
- Utilize advanced typing skills to produce accurate transcripts efficiently within deadlines
- Apply strong English language skills to interpret diverse accents, speech patterns, and technical terminology
- Perform translation tasks when necessary to convert content between languages while maintaining original meaning
- Review transcripts for errors, inconsistencies, or ambiguities and make necessary corrections
- Collaborate with project managers or clients to clarify unclear audio segments or specific formatting requirements
- Proven experience in transcription, editing, or proofreading roles with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style conventions
- Strong typing skills with a high words\-per\-minute rate and minimal errors
- Familiarity with transcription software and tools used for audio playback and text editing
- Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style or similar style guides preferred
- Ability to handle diverse audio quality levels and accents effectively
