THE ROLE:IGEL's Education team is seeking an Instructional Designer to support the continued development and refinement of our online training (eLearning courses) and certification program (technical competency exams focused on IGEL products).
This role is intended to be at an intermediate level, beyond entry\-level but not yet senior. We are looking for someone with solid foundational experience who can work independently on assigned projects, while also benefiting from mentorship and growing into expanded responsibilities over time.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop product training materials, including eLearning, interactive digital training, and instructor\-led training (ILT) materials as needed.
- Create certification exams aligned with learning and performance objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs for customers, Channel Partners, and employees.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging instructional content.
- Ensure training materials remain consistent, accurate, and aligned with product updates and broader training initiatives.
- Use tools such as Articulate 360, TechSmith/Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office to develop engaging content for delivery within our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assist with LMS administration as needed.
- Occasionally support on\-site or event\-based training delivery.
- Manage multiple projects with appropriate guidance and oversight.
- Approximately 3"“5 years of experience in instructional design or curriculum development.
- Experience conducting learner needs analysis and developing storyboards.
- Proficiency with Articulate 360, TechSmith products, Adobe Creative Suite, and at least one LMS.
- Strong writing and editing skills, including scripting for instructional videos.
- Working knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
- Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with cross\-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail in a deadline\-driven environment.
- Experience developing training for software products in a corporate environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with endpoint computing technologies, Linux OS, or Windows administration.
- Working knowledge of visual design and UX principles.
- Public speaking comfort for occasional live delivery.
- German language skills are a plus.
