Oversee and manage the operations of the Accounts Receivable department, ensuring the timely and effective collection of receivables across all client accounts and the accurate processing of claims. This role requires ongoing communication and collaboration with staff, other departments, and senior leadership to drive performance and resolve issues. Responsibilities include setting clear job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing coaching and disciplinary guidance as needed, and developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards to maintain high levels of productivity and quality.

- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree in business, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3\) years of experience in accounts receivable (A/R) management required.
- At least three (3\) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Maintain fluency (working knowledge of) with various tools:
- Manages employees by supporting, coaching, training, assisting with time management and performing evaluations; should conduct regular meetings with all direct reports.
- Analyzes operational data, workflows, and system requests (MDM, UAT, ServiceNow) to identify inefficiencies and implement strategic process and performance improvements.
- Monitors cash deposits, claims billed, payer behavior, and client trends daily and weekly to meet cash collection targets, using KPIs and RCM reporting tools to track A/R status, billing accuracy, and timely collections.
- Delegates tasks and oversees day\-to\-day business operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and achievement of departmental objectives.
- Ensures team adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including rapid identification and communication of payor policy changes to minimize operational and cash flow impacts.
- Maintains and collaborates on key operational logs (Vendor Issuer Log, RAID Log, A/R Issues Log) and oversees vendor inventory control to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Coordinates the analysis, reconciliation, and resolution of A/R and variance reports, partnering with Billing, Coding, HPR, and other departments to resolve issues and clarify processes.
- Oversees automated workflow systems to ensure proper handling of denials and no response items and proactively address workflow issues.
- Maintains strong written and verbal communication with internal teams, external clients, insurance payors, and leadership; communicates departmental updates to the Sr. Manager/Director of AR Resolution and presents reports to senior management.
- Provides leadership and support to onshore and offshore staff, including coaching, guidance on escalations, productivity monitoring, and daily operational oversight.
- Leads people management responsibilities, including PTO approvals, quarterly performance assessments, coaching, disciplinary action support, and partnership with HR as needed.
- Hires, trains, motivates, and develops staff to ensure efficient, customer focused service; conducts performance evaluations and implements corrective actions when necessary.
- Reviews and authorizes write offs in accordance with the Designation of Authority policy.
