Data Center Facilities Site Lead:
We are seeking an experienced Site Lead with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems to lead a team of multi\-skilled technicians supporting a data center / critical infrastructure facility. This is a working leadership position responsible for coordinating daily maintenance activities while providing hands\-on technical support for HVAC equipment, mechanical piping systems, and facility plumbing infrastructure. Strong communication skills are critical to this role. The Site Lead must be able to effectively communicate with technicians, customers, and management while organizing team activities and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This individual will mentor technicians, guide the team through daily operations, and maintain clear communication with the customer and site leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Oversight and Leadership:
- Lead and supervise daily HVAC\-related maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety, and quality standards.
- Train and mentor technicians to improve their HVAC and mechanical skillsets.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Industrial HVAC systems, RTUs, packaged unites, mechanical piping systems, industrial plumbing infrastructure, refrigeration units, and Associated Control Panels.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring proper techniques and safety practices are followed.
- Monitor HVAC performance and lead troubleshooting efforts, coordinating with team members to resolve complex issues with HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
- Assist technicians with system diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate seasonal HVAC operations such as winterization and peak cooling preparations.
- Ensure system efficiency through performance testing and routine system evaluations.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the field team and client or project leadership.

- Lead daily briefings and communicate ongoing or emergent issues to stakeholders.

- Delegate and monitor work orders, track completion, and ensure proper documentation of maintenance tasks.
- Monitor maintenance performance and lead troubleshooting efforts, coordinating with team members to resolved complex issues.
- Facilitate coordination, planning, and escorting of maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain work order priorities and schedule tasks accordingly.
- On occasion, serve as a point of escalation for HVAC/Facility emergencies, providing leadership during after\-hours or critical events.
- Provide input for performance reviews and training plans for technicians.
- Foster a collaborative environment that supports safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Perform or oversee heat exchanger cleaning, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Perform and oversee minor electrical and plumbing work related to building maintenance systems, to include HVAC.
- Coordinate air filter replacement, utilizing Google\-provided filters as needed.
- Lead troubleshooting and response during equipment failures or critical mechanical events.
- Coordinate team response to HVAC, piping, or plumbing system issues affecting facility operations.
- Supervise cleaning of cooling towers and generator rooms to maintain operational integrity
- Conduct or supervise general maintenance tasks on golf carts, lifts, bicycles, and doors
- Conduct facility walkthroughs, ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and safe
- Perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of business facilities
- Support broader site maintenance projects as needed, collaborating across trades
- Handle administrative tasks including time approvals, communication within the chain of command, and liaison with on\-site maintenance planners and clients
- Utilize computer\-based systems (CMMS platforms such as Maximo or equivalent \- Google Suite, Microsoft Office 365\) to manage workorders, preventive maintenance logs, and HVAC performance data
- Create and submit weekly progress reports to site management, including recommendations for system improvements
- Use digital tools for vendor coordination, procurement tracking, and compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date documentation of building maintenance operations, asset history, records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory levels
- Overall Experience: Minimum 5 years of HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing systems, and critical facility maintenance, Minimum 2 to 3 years of technical and electrical experience.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years in a lead or supervisory role. Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams.
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a skilled trade environment, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Ability to lead, organize, and mentor a large and continuously growing team of technicians.
- Technical Skills: Expert\-level knowledge in diagnostics, maintenance repair, and preventive care, building maintenance and energy efficiency.
- Safety\-Oriented: Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and OSHA standards. Commitment to safety in all operations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead teams and engage with clients, vendors, and leadership effectively. Able to clearly communicate expectations, technical issues, and priorities.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Problem\-Solving: Strong problem\-solving abilities to address all maintenance issues, resolve complex maintenance and facility issues, and implement effective solutions.

- Any relevant certifications (electrical, technical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.) or any licenses related to maintenance and supervision are not required, but a plus

- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

The base pay range for this role is $50,00\-55\.00 per hour. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location.
