Job Summary

- Performs the physical handling of materials, supplies, and equipment, including loading and unloading to or from transportation media, placing in or removing from storage, and arranging the materials on shelves or into material bins. This does require heavy lifting and heavy physical exertion and the operation of hand trucks and pallet movers. Other materials and pallets located in the yard area are moved using the fork lift so a knowledge of fork lift operation is required.
- Processes all material issues, material returns, and receipts using the SAP inventory system and the associated bar\-code devices.
- Assemble and stage materials and equipment for jobs for field crews and contractors. Transportation of materials to remote storage sites or storm crews by truck is required from time to time. A commercial driver’s license (CDL Class B) is required.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies. Assist with material ordering and planning of upcoming field work.
- Responsible for maintaining orderly areas around the warehouse and warehouse yard.
- Responsible for the data entry of all new transformers into the transformer inventory database. All new transformers will be entered into the database using bar\-code readers. New company bar\-code numbers will be installed on each transformer when received.
- Maintain a wire database of various size wire. Footages and weights are recorded by reel numbers.
- Assist with the change out of various rubber goods and switch sticks. Test and tag cable grounds for all UGI crews.

- Good knowledge of material handling and understanding of the UGI SAP system
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy objects
- Must be able to operate a fork lift
- Must be able to work in very cold and warm environments
- Computer skills like knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
- Must possess or obtain a Class B \- Commerical Driver's License (CDL) within first 6\-months of employment with no restrictions, and pass DOT physical

Under the direction of the Stores Supervisor perform clerical and manual work associated with the receiving, issuing, storing, transferring, and reclamation of materials, supplies, and equipment handled by the Stores Department.
