JOB TITLE: Project Manager/Assistant to AVP for Facilities

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Project Manager/Assistant to AVP Facilities is responsible for coordinating multiple aspects of the planning, design, budget, renovation, and installation processes for Facilities as well as direct support to the AVP for Facilities. The Project Manager reports to and assists the Senior Project Manager and AVP for Facilities in completing projects and data entry for the Capital Management software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates with the Senior Project Manager campus renovation projects from inception to occupancy, including:
- Assisting in the development of project scope, budget, timeline, and obtaining necessary approvals
- Facilitating project meetings with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
- Keeping clients informed of project status, communicating any issues which impact project delivery
- Ensuring proper close\-out of all projects, including final punch list, close\-out documents, and Capital Management database
- Oversees and owns the maintenance of the capital management data system, ensuring its operational integrity, data accuracy, and alignment with strategic facilities management objectives.
- Focusses on administrative or operational tasks tailored to the AVP’s needs, such as scheduling, correspondence, or managing the AVP’s priorities.
- As needed by the Senior Project Manager and AVP for Facilities.
- May be requested or be required to take classes approved by the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management.

Ability to utilize project management software
Oral and written interpersonal communication skills
Ability to lead and make decisions under pressure
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree/license or certification in a related field
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for working within the budget allotted to each area/project

Communication with all levels of SEBTS personnel
Communication with students
Communication with public utilities personnel
Communication with designers, architects, contractors, vendors, etc.
