Summary:
VCT is seeking a General Clerk III to support Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Squadron Administrative Support Services by providing comprehensive administrative support. This position performs a wide range of clerical and administrative functions in support of command operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Navy policies, and timely processing of administrative actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative duties, including greeting visitors, operating office equipment, and responding to inquiries regarding office procedures and policies.
- Manage the control and distribution of all incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring proper filing procedures, accurate and up\-to\-date records, and compliant record retention and disposal.
- Utilize the Advanced Skills Management (ASM) system to generate comprehensive training reports, identify qualification gaps, and support 100% manning readiness for upcoming detachments.
- Validate and sign off on Performance Qualification Standards (PQS) technical qualifications, ensuring all personnel are authorized and competent to perform maintenance.
- Maintain familiarity with the Computerized Self\-Evaluation Checklist (CSEC) program; complete required checklists and conduct audits in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790\.2, ensuring all mandated audits are performed at prescribed intervals.
- Support Aviation Maintenance Inspections and program assessments by assisting in evaluations of maintenance quality and identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance readiness.
- Maintain command publications to include the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program, the Monthly Personnel Plan (MPP), notices, instructions, and directives periodically.
- Draft and review correspondence for completeness, grammatical and procedural correctness in accordance with Navy policies and command standards.
- Review and maintain documents for completeness prior to entering a tracking system while ensuring established guidelines are met.
- Prepare and review fitness reports/evaluations and award recommendations.
- Conduct monthly Maintenance Personnel Plan (MPP) meetings to project personnel gains, losses, and qualification status for upcoming periods.
- Performs other job\-related duties as assigned by the Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager.
- Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain and retain one.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Administrative background with experience in scheduling, recordkeeping, data entry, and general office support.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with government systems and databases is preferred.

This position is union\-represented and subject to the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
* Position Type: Full\-Time
* Classification: Non\-Exempt
* Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, eight (8\) hours per day. Evenings or weekends may be required based on operational needs.
* Base Rate: $22\.50 per hour
* Health \& Welfare: $6\.00 per hour
