Position Description
Provides administrative and customer service support for Park District programs and facilities by processing registrations, reservations, payments, and deposits while ensuring compliance with revenue control policies. Also assists with office operations, communications, and event support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned ( Include, but are not limited to the following)
- Maintains a good understanding of Park District programs, facilities, policies and Code of Ordinance
- Assists with opening and closing of the administrative office
- Operates general office equipment including but not limited to computer system and related software, phone and voicemail system, recorded information line, fax machine, copy machines
- Processes field and facility rentals, program registrations, league payments, vending machine commissions, fee assistance requests, payment plan authorizations, admission tickets and passes, etc., and submits daily deposit while maintaining the District’s revenue control policies
- Assists with facility reservations for meetings, special events, birthday parties, etc.
- Assists with referee invoicing, procedures, reservation reports, soccer score sheets, data entry of scores and standings, etc.
- Assists with updating social media/website pages to help promote events and rental opportunities
- Assists with recommendations regarding operational policies along with standard improvements
- Submits purchase requisitions and check requests when needed
- Checks USPS mailbox daily and distributes incoming and outgoing mail/packages.
- Utilize the Rockford Park District's HRIS system for all HR and payroll\-related requirements and to accurately clock in and out for all shifts.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently highly preferred.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills

- Keyboarding and some familiarity with database systems
- Must possess good organizational skills and attention to details

- Ability to communicate verbally one\-on\-one and in groups

- Must be available 20\+ hours per week for shift(s) varying between 9:30am to 9:00pm; additional hours may be required occasionally during special events
- Certified training in CPR, AED, First Aid (can be obtained through Rockford Park District)
- + Exerting in excess of 30 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to perform moderately physically intensive tasks, potentially including any combination of the following: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- This position is primarily stationed indoors
