##### Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of all water systems, dialysis machines, mechanical and electrical systems, and other medical equipment; so as to ensure safety of the patients as well as the staff operating the equipment.
POPULATION SERVED:
Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s): Inpatient’s that require acute care dialysis treatment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participate, and if necessary, oversee, in the maintenance and repair of all water treatment equipment, dialysis machines, medical equipment and mechanical/electrical systems as recommended by the manufacturer and by procedures established by Las Palmas Medical Center.
- Perform administrative duties as delegated by the Unit Director.
- Perform all water treatment system maintenance and quality control testing.
- Shared responsibility with direct patient care staff for the start up and shut down of the facility equipment under management’s direction.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the function and safe operation of backup water treatment equipment and related mechanical and electrical systems.
- Possess a familiarity with catalogs and instruction manuals for the facility’s equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
