Job Summary: Responsible for all Afterschool Programs and other organizational events to ensure they are safe, organized, fun, and educational. Manages all site operations and teamwork to meet A World Fit For Kids!’ mission of “Preparing Young People For Fit and Fulfilling Lives” through Moving, Modeling, and Mentoring.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews and monitors lesson plans to ensure quality, appropriateness, safety, and alignment with organization's mission
  • Create, execute, and monitor programs that attract student participation so as to meet Student Attendance Goals (based on site)
  • Ensure that program plans and calendars are up to date and posted
  • Manage entire program site, ensure safety, organization, and program quality
  • Participate in staff development, parent orientation, outreach, and other professional development
  • Maintain up\-to\-date records on all participants and site staff
  • Monitors gate entry/exit of students being dropped off and picked up
  • Monitors check\-in tables to ensure that parents are following sign\-in \& sign\-out protocols
  • Clean and maintain all spaces used by the organization
  • Must be able to work at least 85% (153 days) of the180 day school year schedule
  • Must report to headquarters as needed
  • Work location may be re\-assigned based on organization's needs
  • Supervises Coaches, Leads, and other support staff, students, and school constituents
  • Sets schedules, approves timesheets, holds regular site staff meetings
  • Daily coaching, monitoring, and developing staff
  • Attend a majority of WFIT professional development opportunities
  • Regular review of Maintains daily attendance records and ensure all attendance deadlines are met daily, monthly, quarterly, annually
  • Responsible for Attendance Reconciliation including but not limited to daily review and corrections, follow\-up on issues identified by Systems Department, and complete by established deadlines
  • Manage all incident reports to ensure proper documentation and timely submission
  • Responsible for calendars, CQI, coordinating events, schedule monthly check\-in meetings with Administration
  • Record management \- calendars, staff schedules, incident reports, outreach activities, parent handbooks, FPM box, professional development, staff meetings
  • Manage all on\-site inventory
  • Attend school site events to engage with parents, school site, and recruit participants
  • Outreach with potential partners
  • Post, advertise, and actively recruit program participants
  • Establish a clear line of communication between parents and site staff
  • Distribute parent handbook and facilitate parent orientation meetings
  • Collaborate with appropriate school, community, public and private stakeholders to leverage program resources
  • Responsible for upkeep of organizational issued equipment and replacement or repairs for improper/negligent usage
  • Work with Program Managers in creating site budget and spending plan in alignment with overall program plan
  • Monitor site budget according to spending plan i.e. material/supplies, staffing, and sundries
  • Additional tasks and/or responsibilities outside this scope may be as assigned temporarily or longer term as needed. Executive Management reserves the right to amend or update any part of this job description based on the needs of the organization.

    All newly staffed positions are subject to a ninety (90\) day Introductory Period with 30\-60\-90\-day evaluations.

    Qualifications \& Requirements:

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    College graduate or majoring in education, physical education, recreation, or a related field is desirable

    Experience developing and implementing expanding learning programs and/or educational activities

    At least one year experience in a supervisor role

    At least two years experience working with youth

    Desired Skills, Experience \& Other:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; can analyze and report clearly and effectively with respect to facts and recommendations
  • Ability to communicate at different levels in a professional manner
  • Ability to listen carefully and report collectively
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Above average time management skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and facilitate activities
  • Energetic, ambitious, goal oriented, creative, relationship building skills
  • Ability to step into leadership and train staff; comfortable delegating and following up
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient to above average data entry and word processing with Microsoft software/applications
  • Proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Mandatory Compliance \& Trainings:

    Beyond The Bell (LAUSD)

  • CPR \& First Aid Certification biannual
  • Virtual Trainings
  • All Staff \- Pre\-Fall \& Pre\-Spring Semesters

    Individual Ongoing – once per month (in\-person or virtual)

    FBI \& DOJ Livescan clearance

    TB Test clearance
