- 11\-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a 174\-licensed\-bed community hospital
- Common diagnoses include stroke, heart failure, chest pain, COPD, cardiac cath pre/post, ETOH/CIWA, respiratory illness, GI disorders, liver failure, and AKI/CKD
- RN\-to\-patient ratio of 1:3–4; CNA support at 1:5–6
- Telemetry monitoring is nurse\-driven — no dedicated monitoring tech on unit
- Critical care drip management required, including insulin, nitroglycerin, Cardene, diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, and blood products
- General PCU skills required: cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach management, chest tube management, PIV starts, NGT/Dobhoff placement, PEG tubes, drain and tube management, PCA pumps
- EMR: Epic (experience required); IV pumps: Alaris; medication dispensing: Omnicell; monitors: Philips
- 12\-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
- Every\-other\-weekend rotation required
- Floating required across Region 2 facilities as needed: Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, Levine Children's Hospital)
- No on\-call requirements for travelers
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Permanent address must be located 50\+ miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Orientation includes facility\-wide NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation
- Unit support includes CNAs, a receptionist/HUC, 24/7 charge nurse, phlebotomy (peripheral draws only), IV/VAT team, resource nurse (as available), RT, hospitalist, 24/7 intensivist (virtual after hours), and virtual nurses
- Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
- RTO requests require Resource Team approval
- Required scrub color: navy

- First\-time travelers are not preferred but will be considered
- Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
