##### Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Pharmacy Buyer, you willbe responsible formanaging thehospitalpharmaceutical inventory process, which includes purchasing, stocking, and inventory optimization. This role will alsoassistin training staff on inventory handling and overseeing workflow in the pharmacy when the tech supervisor or pharmacy manager is unavailable.

What you will do in this role:

• You will make purchasing decisions whilecomplying withbudgetlimitations, andachieving a maximum inventory turnover rate.
• You will ensurethe timelycommunication for medication shortages or changes in medication stock availability.
• You willassistwith the maintenance of database and/or paperwork on medication recalls.
• You will work with the pharmacy director toidentifydrug cost varianceson a monthly basisand develop action plans.
• You will run bid compliance checks andmakesrecommendations for formulary changes as necessary to ensure maximum savings forcontract.

You will provide leadership andperformsphysical inventory counts during inventory and cycle counts.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School graduate or GED isrequired
• Associates orBachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Supply Chain Logistics is preferred
• 3\+ years of inpatient pharmacy technician experience isrequired
• 2 years of hospital, pharmacy buyer experience is preferred.
• National Certification (CPhT) isrequired
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician with the state Board of Pharmacy isrequired.
