What We Need
CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Staff Accountant within our Accounting and Finance division. This position falls under our Global Shared Services line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN office. The Staff Accountant within Corpay’s Global Shared Services (GSS) organization is responsible for supporting day to day accounting operations across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and internal control standards. This role plays a key part in month end close, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and support of shared\-services processes with a focus on efficiency, standardization, and data integrity.
The ideal candidate is detail\-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a high volume, deadline driven environment.
You will report directly to Accounting Manager and regularly collaborate with the team and other departments.
How We Work
As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to work in an office environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in the Brentwood office.

- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with corporate policy.
- Support month\-end close timelines, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist in variance analysis for P\&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Support AP, AR, Treasury, and other shared\-service streams as needed.
- Maintain accounting schedules and documentation for audit ready files.
- Investigate and resolve transactional discrepancies and reconciling items.
- Support intercompany processing, confirmations, and balancing activities.
- Execute SOX controls and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Assist in internal and external audit requests, providing schedules and support.
- Ensure adherence to Corpay’s accounting policies and control framework.
- Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of GSS processes.
- Identify automation or workflow enhancement opportunities.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and cross\-functional projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- CPA or CPA track candidates preferred but not required.
- 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships or co ops acceptable for entry\-level candidates).
- Experience in shared services, corporate accounting, or high\-volume environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (D365, Oracle, SAP) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience with reconciliation tools such as BlackLine is a plus.
- Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communicator with cross\-functional teams.

- Timeliness and accuracy of journal entries and reconciliations.
