Job Title: Part\-Time Accountant / Bookkeeper (On\-site)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 20 hours/week (5 half\-days, approximately 4 hours/day between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Job Type: Part\-time, On\-site (No remote option currently)

Employment Classification: Contractor role – not an employee position. You will be responsible for filing your own taxes (1099\)

Compensation: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Accountant / Bookkeeper with a solid background in accounting and hands\-on experience using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate is detail\-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks while working in a fast\-paced office setting. Strong bookkeeping and communication skills are essential, along with responsiveness to work chats and emails.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping, including data entry, transaction categorization, and record maintenance
  • Manage and reconcile accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and update the general ledger
  • Assist with month\-end closing
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
  • Adapt to frequent changes and shifting priorities
  • Respond to emails and internal work chat messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of QuickBooks Online experience
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (more than just basic functions)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of integrity
  • Reliable and consistent availability Monday through Friday, approximately 4 hours/day between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full\-cycle accounting experience
  • A/R and A/P process knowledge
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a fast\-changing environment
  • Screening Process:

  • On\-site skills test (1–2 days) to evaluate bookkeeping and accounting proficiency
