Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepares parts and pallets for shipment on a variety of shippers and makes accurate bills of lading for those shipments.
· Responsible for proper stacking and protection of parts as required to maintain specified quality standards.
· Responsible for visually, and with the use of measuring tools, inspecting and verifying that parts meet specifications as noted in drawings, blueprints, and set\-up sheets.
· Receives and ships out products appropriately, managing project timelines, and shipment deadlines.
· Prioritizes jobs to maximize productivity and efficiency while providing input to enhance existing production methods.
· Verifies product count and conducts quality control measures prior to shipments leaving the building.
· Loads and unloads trucks properly, moves products to storage locations, and works well with the drivers.
· Evaluates received materials for accuracy and quality.
· Brings all paperwork to the main office in a timely manner including packing slips, receivers, invoices, quality control documentation, and job packets.
· Creates packing slips and purchase orders using MRP software.
· Responsible for overall housekeeping and maintenance of safety standards.
· Responsible for operation and daily maintenance of any tools and machinery used.
· Exercises sound judgment to determine work assignments and procedures, calculate run times, and prioritize jobs to maximize productivity and efficiency in order to increase and promote throughput and on\-time deliveries.
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs.
· Arranges things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules such as numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations, etc.
· Responsible for accuracy in counting parts and data entry transactions supporting job activities.
· Adheres to all established procedures as defined by the company procedures, process flows, work instructions, safety procedures, and employee handbook.
· Responsible for maintaining reliable transportation as public transportation is not available for all shifts due to remote location.
This position may include opportunities to drive. An acceptable driving record will be required.
