- Liberty Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented EMIS Coordinator to oversee the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) operations within our district. The EMIS Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, management, and reporting in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position plays a crucial role in supporting student achievement through effective data utilization and collaboration with school staff. This position may be conducted remotely for qualified candidates under the recommendation of the Superintendent.
- Manage the collection, processing, and submission of all student data to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and other relevant agencies according to established timelines.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of student data by implementing best practices and data governance policies.
- Collaborate with district staff to develop and maintain processes for tracking and reporting student performance metrics.
- Provide training and support to school staff regarding EMIS protocols, data entry procedures, and reporting tools.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the district's EMIS policies and procedures.
- Analyze data trends and prepare reports for administration, assisting in data\-driven decision\-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all EMIS\-related inquiries from district personnel, parents, and state agencies.
- Stay updated on changes in state and federal data reporting requirements and ensure compliance.
- Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions related to EMIS and data management.
- Support the integration of technology and data systems across the district to enhance educational practices and improve outcomes for students.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an educational environment, with a focus on data management or EMIS preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in data analysis and report generation; familiarity with data management software and systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of state and federal educational policies and regulations related to data reporting.
- This position may require occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the district.
