Summary

An Augeo Software Development Manager is responsible for ensuring operational excellence at a platform level. In this role, you will oversee the development activities of one of our platform development teams, manage sprint planning, and provide mentorship while ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will be the overall team leader for one of our B2B SaaS platforms built on the Microsoft technology stack, ensuring team cohesion, velocity, and overall quality. You’ll lead by example in leveraging AI coding assistants and building automation agents, establishing your team as a model for AI\-enabled development practices that multiply productivity across the organization.

At Augeo, you will be trusted to align an entire software engineering function with the operational and strategic goals of the division. This position requires strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders across the organization, alongside the ability to foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence. The successful candidate will champion AI adoption across their team, ensuring every developer is proficient with modern AI development tools and actively identifying opportunities to automate manual workflows through custom AI agents. You’ll focus on optimizing team productivity through both traditional engineering excellence and emerging AI capabilities, maintaining code quality standards, and developing talent to meet evolving business needs.

High\-level Job Requirements

  • Lead and improve high\-performing AI\-native engineering teams building on the Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C\#, SQL Server).
  • Champion AI\-enabled development practices, ensuring 100% team adoption of approved AI coding tools across both .NET and SQL development workflows.
  • Design and deploy AI agents to automate repetitive workflows (code reviews, testing, documentation, database query optimization).
  • Oversee front\-end and back\-end development teams and their projects, including .NET developers, front\-end developers, and SQL developers.
  • Partner with Product to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Champion DevOps culture and continuous improvement across CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Establish team standards and best practices for effective AI tool usage, prompt engineering, and responsible AI integration within the .NET ecosystem.

  • Competencies

  • Proven track record leading engineering teams, ideally 4\+ years.
  • 6\+ years working experience in .NET technologies, with an emphasis on C\#, EntityFramework, Restful APIs, OAuth, and MVC for the most recent work
  • Experience with Microsoft web technologies, including .NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, and data technologies, including SQL Server and EntityFramework.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants to improve personal and team productivity.
  • Passable understanding of cloud\-native architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS), and distributed systems.
  • Organized, with the ability to work independently toward project\-driven deadlines, in person or remote.
  • Desired Technical Skills

  • Microsoft .NET development leadership (C\#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, EntityFramework, RESTful APIs, OAuth)
  • SQL Server expertise, including complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data modeling
  • Front\-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout, Razor)
  • AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools)
  • LLM API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, AWS Bedrock)
  • CI/CD pipelines and build automation (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • Observability and monitoring
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies
  • Education and Experience

  • Four\-year college degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Experience working in an Agile\-based, SOC 2 Type II certified environment.
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and achieve objectives and deadlines.

    Travel

    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although occasional out\-of\-area and overnight travel may be expected for team gatherings, client engagements, or executive off\-sites.
