MDK Zero Landfill is searching for an accounting clerk to be a part of our accounting team. The accounting clerk will report to the Controller but will also work closely with other members of the accounting team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive, process and enter accounts payable invoices and payments.
Verify and reconcile supplier statements of accounts.
Assist with accounts receivable invoices and payment application.
Assist with data entry of inventory transactions.
Assist with the ordering of office, maintenance and warehouse supplies as needed.
Serve as backup to various accounting tasks for other team members.
Perform other administrative tasks related to accounting.
Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant experience in accounts payable and/or other accounting functions.
Sound computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word). Experience with various accounting and management software is desirable.
Autonomy, the ability to work independently, prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and expectations, and teamwork are essential.
Ability to complete work with a high degree of detail orientation and accuracy.
Good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
