Duration: 1\-year base contract with 4 option years
Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
How many shifts needed per month: Approx. 20 22 shifts/month (based on full\-time coverage)
License: Any state license works
Certifications:
- No mandatory clinical certification required
- Must meet VA qualification standards (MSA GS\-679\)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with patient scheduling systems / EMR (VA experience preferred)
- Ability to coordinate care across multiple clinics/providers
- Strong communication (phone, electronic, in\-person)
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
- For Lead MSA:
- Schedule, cancel, and coordinate patient appointments across multiple clinics
- Provide administrative support for patient care delivery
- Communicate with providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate data entry
- Coordinate referrals, follow\-ups, and community care appointments
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve scheduling or access issues
- Oversee daily workflow and staffing coordination
- Act as primary point of contact between team and leadership
- Support training and development of MSA staff
- Monitor productivity, backlog reduction, and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with VA policies and procedures
- Assist with escalation and complex scheduling coordination
- Supporting backlog reduction across multiple VA facilities
- High\-volume, fast\-paced environment
Experience needed:
* MSA: Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare administrative/clinical support setting
* Lead MSA: Minimum 1 year of advanced experience in care coordination \+ leadership/oversight
Special Skills needed:
