Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail\-oriented Salesforce Administrator specializing in Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the integrity, usability, and strategic value of organizational data within Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). This role partners closely with Operations, Program and Finance to ensure data is accurate, actionable, and supports reporting and impact measurement.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce \& Data Management
- Serve as an administrator and data steward for Salesforce NPSP
- Maintain data quality through validation rules, de\-duplication, standardization, and regular audits
- Manage Accounts, Contacts, Relationships, Opportunities, and Affiliations in NPSP
- Oversee data imports, exports, and integrations with 3rd party tools (e.g., donation platforms, forms, finance systems)
- Document data definitions, business rules, and system processes
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports for all departments
- Translate business questions into clear data insights and visualizations
- Ensure consistent use data standards across departments
- Partner with stakeholders to improve data collection workflows and system adoption
- Train staff on Salesforce best practices, data entry standards, and reporting tools
- Recommend and implement system enhancements, automations, and new features
- Help establish and enforce data governance policies and permissions
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with organizational policies
- Support audits and data requests as needed
- 2\+ years of experience managing data in Salesforce, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Hands\-on experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
- Solid understanding of nonprofit business processes and data concepts
- Experience creating reports and dashboards for cross department needs
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Salesforce NPSP experience (goal to obtain admin certification)
- Experience with nonprofit integrations (e.g., online giving platforms, form tools, finance systems)
- Familiarity with data governance, data hygiene tools, and deduplication strategies
- Experience supporting grant tracking or program outcomes reporting
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non\-technical users
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative, service\-oriented mindset
- Comfortable balancing day\-to\-day data needs with long\-term strategy
- Must have a valid Connecticut Driver's License
- Hybrid; in office at Hamden or Bristol locations as needed
