The Assistant Football Coach – Offensive Coordinator plays a central leadership role within Concord University’s football program, providing strategic direction, daily coaching, and operational support to advance the team’s competitive success.
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the offensive system, including game planning, play‑calling, player development, and position‑specific instruction.
The coach will collaborate closely with the Head Coach and full staff to ensure the program reflects the university’s values, maintains full compliance with NCAA Division II and Mountain East Conference regulations, and fosters a positive, growth‑oriented environment for student‑athletes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duty/Responsibility
- Lead the positive development of all aspects of the offensive unit within a NCAA Division II football program.
- Develop and implement a competitive offensive system, including playbook design, game planning, and weekly practice installation.
- Recruit quality student‑athletes of strong character, evaluate talent, and build meaningful relationships with prospects and families.
- Support student‑athlete academic success by reinforcing academic expectations and collaborating with campus support services.
- Provide position‑specific coaching and instruction to enhance technical skills, football IQ, and overall player development.
- Analyze game and practice film, prepare scouting reports, and identify opponent tendencies to inform strategic decisions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills in daily operations, staff collaboration, and student‑athlete instruction.
- Ensure strict adherence to all NCAA Division II and Mountain East Conference rules, maintaining program integrity and compliance.
- Assist with program administration, including travel logistics, equipment coordination, fundraising, camps, and community engagement.
- Promote a positive team culture, modeling leadership, accountability, and sportsmanship for all student‑athletes.

- Excellent communication, management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, with a proven ability to adhere to all compliance standards
- Basic computer skills, including film analysis software, email communication, and data entry
