JOB TITLE: SUPPORT STAFF/CLERK V

GRADE: 11

UNION: TEAMSTERS LOCAL 700

LOCATION: 10220 S. 76TH AVENUE

BRIDGEVIEW, ILLINOIS 60455

SALARY: ENTRY LEVEL – $45,924

Job Summary and Duties:

• Answer and direct telephone calls;
• Read, print, sort, deliver, pick up, and respond to emailed court orders and questions addressed to judges in the Fifth Municipal District;
• Assist litigants as needed, including assistance with remote court access (Zoom);
• Perform general clerical duties, including filing, typing, and inputting data, retrieving and delivery of mail, and other duties as directed by the Presiding Judge/designee.

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D equivalent;
• Basic knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel programs and excellent typing skills (45 wpm);
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work and interact with legal and non\-legal personnel as part of a team.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen;
• Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk;
• Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation;
• Strength to lift file weighing up to 20 pounds.
