- Full\-time employment, 37\.5 hours per week

- One year of experience in a dental office or clinic; or
- Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assisting certificate program; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Exam as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Dental Assistant within the Department of Corrections, you will collaborate closely with our skilled Dentists to deliver essential dental care to our inmate population, ensuring that services are provided with both compassion and professionalism. In this role, you will support the Dentist during patient examinations and treatments, manage appointment scheduling, and oversee the daily flow of patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate dental records, providing chairside assistance, ensuring the proper functioning of dental office equipment, and executing various dental laboratory procedures.
