Summary
To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the office’s maximum positive impact on the education of students can be realized. This individual serves the assistant principal in clerical duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Zone Assistant Principal and staff to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school by performing the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy and productive office.
- Maintain and monitor Zone requests for reimbursement and complete daily/weekly deposits of money.
- Schedule and monitor Zone Assistant Principal's appointments; manage daily calendar, receive and route all incoming calls to the principal.
- Assist with Student disciplinary due process, perform data entry of disciplinary referrals (log discipline, copy and return discipline to teacher, follow up communication with parent/guardian regarding discipline).
- Work in collaboration with the third party substitute placement in overseeing all aspects of substitutes and staff absences.
- Process and collect fines/fees for the Zone office.
- Collect and manage fees/dues for the American Heritage trip.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required.
- College is considered a plus.
- Such alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Skills and Abilities
Language
Individuals must be able to read and interpret documents, Write simple and complex reports, applications, and correspondence, and speak with students, staff members, and community members.
Computation
Basic math skills are required.
Reasoning
The ability to interpret and follow directions is required, as are basic problem\-solving abilities.
Technology
Must have strong computer skills, including word processing, working with spreadsheets, and the internet. Must have the ability to learn new systems and software with instruction.
Additional Skills and Abilities
This individual must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to safeguard confidential information. Also, must be organized, motivated, and honest.
