The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Fish and Wildlife Technician 1 to serve in the Region 4 Fisheries Unit. The primary responsibility will be data entry into an Access database. Additional responsibilities include: driving to fishing access sites to assess their condition, work with regional staff to complete fishing access site verification project, and participate in regional fish sampling surveys as needed. The fish sampling work may involve work beyond the typical 8:00 a.m. \- 4:00 p.m. schedule. This positions requires the ability to wade through streams while carrying 50 pounds of equipment.

Minimum Qualifications Thirty (30\) semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.
