Job Summary
The Temporary Assistant Manager for Voter Registration supports the daily operations, compliance procedures, and administrative oversight of voter registration activities. This role ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to state and federal election regulations while supervising registration staff and assisting in the coordination of outreach efforts. The position requires strong analytical skills, detailed reporting capabilities, advanced computer proficiency, and prior experience in voter registration processes. Key Duties and Responsibilities
1\. Operational Oversight
Assist in managing daily voter registration operations.
Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to voter registration guidelines and legal requirements.
Ensure all applications are processed accurately and in compliance with election laws.
Coordinate workflow to meet deadlines and reporting requirements.
2\. Voter Registration Processing
Review, verify, and process voter registration applications.
Maintain accurate voter databases and ensure information integrity.
Identify discrepancies and resolve registration issues.
Ensure proper documentation and record retention procedures are followed.
3\. Reporting and Documentation
Prepare detailed written reports summarizing registration activities, outreach efforts, and compliance status.
Compile statistical data and generate performance metrics.
Document incidents, irregularities, and corrective actions.
Present findings clearly in written and verbal formats.
4\. Technical and Administrative Skills
Utilize laptops and office systems efficiently.
Operate Microsoft Office Suite, especially:
Microsoft Excel (data entry, spreadsheets, formulas, sorting, filtering, reporting).
Microsoft Word (report writing and documentation).
Maintain electronic filing systems and digital records.
Use graphic design tools (such as Canva or Adobe software) to create voter outreach materials, informational flyers, and digital content.
Manage and organize numerical data accurately.
5\. Financial \& Numerical Competency
Track numerical registration data accurately.
Reconcile registration counts and verify reporting numbers.
Analyze data trends and prepare numerical summaries.
6\. Public Interaction \& Outreach
Provide assistance to voters regarding registration requirements.
Support community outreach programs and voter education initiatives.
Maintain professionalism when interacting with diverse populations.
7\. Compliance \& Confidentiality
Maintain strict confidentiality of voter information.
Ensure all procedures align with state and federal election regulations.
Assist in audits or internal reviews when required.
Qualifications
Prior experience in voter registration or election administration.
Strong written communication and report\-writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management.
Ability to work independently and supervise temporary staff.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Experience in graphic design for outreach materials (preferred).
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
