- Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to gather pertinent case law, statutes, and regulations across practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law, patent law, workers' compensation, personal injury, landlord\-tenant issues, and litigation.
- Prepare and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage legal case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accurate organization, filing, and retrieval of case materials.
- Conduct document review and assist with legal case management to support ongoing litigation or transactional work.
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as scheduling client interviews, court appearances, depositions, and meetings while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Transcribe recordings and draft legal memos or summaries to facilitate case preparation.
- Maintain data entry accuracy for client records and case information while ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Facilitate communication between clients, courts, and external agencies by providing professional clerical support and organizing documentation efficiently.
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal within a busy law office environment with familiarity in multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, or personal injury law.
- Strong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms to locate relevant case law and statutes efficiently.
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as iManage or PCLaw is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in legal drafting, proofreading documents for accuracy and clarity.
- Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to interview clients professionally and support attorneys seamlessly.
- Knowledge of document review processes and familiarity with contracts and legal administrative procedures.
- Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, transcription, and maintaining organized files with precision.
