Wage Grade: 18 (2026 Rate \- $4,730\-$5,749 monthly)
Status: Permanent Full\-Time, Non\-Exempt
Purpose of the Position:
This position will provide essential administrative assistance across various departments within the City as needed, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow during staffing transitions or peak work periods.
Essential of Duties \& Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to support and fill vacancies throughout various departments within the City of Chelan as assigned and needed.
- Assist with scanning, data entry, filing, and document management tasks.
- Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages as required.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations under direction.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events as needed.
- Conduct research and gather information for projects as assigned.
- Collaborate with department heads and staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Follow City policies and procedures in all tasks and interactions.
- Promote positive public relations and perceptions.
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other department employees and the public
- Ability to understand and correctly execute verbal and written instructions
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.).
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Proven experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a government or municipal setting.

Working Conditions \& Schedule
Work is performed primarily in an office with some outdoor settings. The duties are generally Monday through Friday. Conditions may require work on weekends based on department needs.
