Job Summary
Atlas Community Care is seeking a detail\-oriented and professional Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our North Dakota team as a Per Diem Competency Review Nurse. In this fully remote, contract role, you will be a critical partner in our caregiver onboarding process. You will evaluate the competency of new home care employees using our established training materials and sign the required North Dakota SFN 749 — Documentation of Competency form.
This is a perfect opportunity for a nurse seeking flexible, on\-demand work that can be done from home, without the commitment of a full\-time or part\-time schedule. You will play a key role in ensuring our caregivers meet North Dakota state requirements and are fully prepared to deliver outstanding care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Review each new employee's completed training packet and written competency assessment, which will be provided to you by Atlas Community Care. Conduct a brief verbal evaluation (approximately 15–30 minutes) with the employee via phone or video call to confirm their understanding of the 26 competency standards and applicable global endorsements. Accurately complete and sign the North Dakota SFN 749 form for each employee, documenting competency determinations based on verbal and written assessment methods. Return the signed SFN 749 form to our administrative team within 24 hours of the review. Maintain clear and professional communication with the Atlas Community Care onboarding team throughout the process.
Time Commitment \& Compensation
This is a per diem role with work assigned on an as\-needed basis whenever a new employee is ready for competency review. Compensation is a flat rate of $75 per completed and signed SFN 749 form. Each review — including your review of the employee's written materials and the verbal evaluation — is estimated to take approximately 1 to 1\.5 hours to complete. Payments are issued on a bi\-weekly basis for all reviews completed during that period. Volume will vary based on hiring activity, but you can expect a steady flow of reviews as Atlas Community Care scales its North Dakota operations.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold an active, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Your nursing license must be verifiable through the North Dakota Board of Nursing, which can be satisfied by either a direct North Dakota nursing license or a multistate compact license issued by another Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member state.
In addition, ideal candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail — particularly with documentation and state compliance forms — along with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. You must be reliable, organized, and able to manage your own schedule to complete reviews promptly. Access to a computer, stable internet connection, and phone is required for conducting remote reviews.
