Part-Time E-Commerce & Shipping Assistant

A Cottage in the City, an online home décor and furniture retailer, is looking for a dependable, organized person to join our small team on a part\-time basis. This is a great position for someone looking for flexible weekday daytime hours in a relaxed, small\-business environment. The primary responsibilities will be packing and shipping customer orders, with the opportunity to assist with customer service and basic e\-commerce tasks. Responsibilities include: Pack and prepare online orders for shipment Print shipping labels and organize outgoing packages Receive and organize incoming merchandise Assist customers by email with basic order and shipping questions Help add new products and update product information on our website Assist with other light administrative and e\-commerce tasks as needed What we're looking for: Dependable, organized, and detail\-oriented Comfortable working independently Friendly and professional written communication Basic computer skills Shopify or e\-commerce experience is a plus, but not required Able to lift and move boxes as needed Willing to learn and help in different areas of our small business Schedule Part\-time, approximately 15–20 hours per week Monday–Friday only, with 2–4 days per week between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. We have some flexibility in creating a consistent schedule that works for the right person. No evenings or weekends. Location Farmingdale, NY This is an in\-person position and is not remote.
