Outside Sales Representative – Field Prospecting \& Territory Development Company: Filled With Grace Inc. / Clothes Bin Territory: Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN markets Role Type: Field\-based outside sales / business development Filled With Grace Inc. operates Clothes Bin clothing and shoe recycling donation bins throughout East Tennessee. We partner with schools, churches, nonprofits, local businesses, and property owners to place donation bins that provide convenient textile recycling while creating passive fundraising opportunities for community organizations. We are hiring an Outside Sales Representative to help expand our network of host locations across the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets. This is a true field\-based sales role. The primary responsibility is to identify, prospect, qualify, and secure new host locations for Clothes Bin donation bins. What This Role Actually Requires This role is best suited for someone with real hunter\-style sales experience. You should be comfortable spending most of your work time in the field, walking into businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, and shopping centers, identifying decision makers, presenting the opportunity, handling objections, following up, and securing signed agreements. This is not primarily a marketing, social media, administrative, customer service, or account management role. Success comes from consistent prospecting activity, disciplined follow\-up, and the ability to create new opportunities from scratch. You should be comfortable with: Cold outreach and in\-person prospecting Walking into local organizations without a scheduled appointment Finding and contacting decision makers Explaining a simple business/community partnership opportunity Handling rejection and continuing to prospect Managing a territory independently Tracking prospects, follow\-ups, and next steps Driving throughout the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets Working in a performance\-based sales environment Primary Responsibilities Identify and qualify potential host locations for clothing and shoe donation bins Prospect schools, churches, nonprofits, businesses, shopping centers, and property owners Conduct in\-person visits, calls, emails, and follow\-up outreach Present the Clothes Bin program clearly and professionally Explain the benefits of hosting a bin, including passive fundraising, convenience, and textile recycling Evaluate potential sites for visibility, traffic, access, donor audience, and operational fit Secure signed location agreements with qualified host partners Maintain accurate prospect and pipeline notes Coordinate with the company on approved placements, site concerns, and next steps Build long\-term territory growth through consistent activity and follow\-up What a Strong Candidate Looks Like Strong candidates will usually have experience in one or more of the following: Outside sales Territory sales Door\-to\-door sales Field sales B2B prospecting Route sales Roofing, solar, pest control, home services, or similar field sales Fundraising sales Community partnership development New account acquisition The best fit is someone who has personally generated new business, not just supported marketing efforts, managed existing accounts, or handled inbound interest. Required Qualifications Experience in outside sales, field sales, business development, fundraising sales, or similar prospecting\-based work Demonstrated comfort with cold outreach and in\-person prospecting Ability to travel regularly throughout the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets Strong communication and follow\-up skills Ability to work independently without daily supervision Professional presence when representing the company to schools, churches, nonprofits, businesses, and property owners Basic ability to use email, spreadsheets, maps, and CRM\-style tracking tools Preferred Qualifications 2\+ years of sustained outside sales or territory development experience Experience selling to businesses, nonprofits, schools, churches, or community organizations Experience in a commission\-based or performance\-based sales role Familiarity with Knoxville, Chattanooga, and surrounding East Tennessee communities Prior success generating new business through cold outreach Bachelor’s degree preferred, but proven outside sales success is valued more heavily than formal education Compensation This is a performance\-based sales role. Compensation structure will be discussed early in the interview process and will be designed around successful new location acquisition. Candidates should be prepared to discuss the compensation structure they are seeking, including their preferred mix of base pay, commission, draw, bonus, or other performance\-based components. Who Should Not Apply This role is probably not the right fit if you are looking primarily for marketing work, social media work, administrative work, customer service, inbound sales, remote work, or account management of existing customers. It is also probably not the right fit if you are uncomfortable with cold outreach, in\-person prospecting, rejection, driving throughout a territory, or compensation tied heavily to sales production. Why This Role Matters Each new host location creates a partnership that helps local organizations raise funds while making clothing and shoe recycling more convenient for the community. Schools can support student programs, churches can fund ministry or outreach, nonprofits can create additional resources, and businesses can offer a useful community service. For the right sales professional, this is an opportunity to build a territory, create community partnerships, and be rewarded for real production. Pay: $75,000\.00 \- $90,000\.00 per year Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Application Question(s): Are you willing and able to travel regularly throughout the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets for in\-person prospecting? Have you worked in a commission\-based or performance\-based sales role before? Please describe. Briefly describe your experience generating new business through cold outreach, in\-person prospecting, door\-to\-door sales, or walking into businesses without a scheduled appointment. This role requires regular field prospecting with schools, churches, nonprofits, local businesses, and property owners. Are you comfortable walking into these locations, identifying the decision maker, presenting the opportunity, handling objections, and following up until a decision is made? What compensation structure are you seeking for this type of role? Please include your preferred mix of base pay, commission, draw, bonus, or other performance\-based components. This role is probably not a fit for someone looking primarily for marketing, social media, account management, customer service, inbound sales, or remote work. Briefly explain why this type of field\-based hunter sales role fits what you are looking for. Experience: territory sales, door\-to\-door sales, or fundraising sales: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: driver's license and reliable transportation for travel (Required) Location: * Knoxville, TN (Required) Work Location: On the road
