Lynden Logistics is looking for an Operations Agent to support our Perishable Operations team in Anchorage, AK. As our Operations Agent, you'll help ensure the timely movement of perishable freight by supporting warehouse operations, shipment processing, customer service activities, and local delivery functions. This is a safety sensitive position. Pay Rate: $23\.50 per hour. Position Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Overtime availability required. What you'll be doing: Manage all aspects of perishables shipping, from receiving customer orders to preparing airline bills and ensuring safe transport. Load, unload, and secure freight into and out of containers, pallets, and delivery vehicles. Assist with processing shipment documentation and maintaining accurate shipment records. Support warehouse operations to ensure daily cut\-off times are met. Track and trace shipments to ensure time\-sensitive freight moves according to customer requirements. Assist with delivery activities using company vehicles as needed. Present airline paperwork and shipment documentation to warehouse personnel for freight transfers. Assist with both perishable and dry freight operations as business needs require. Work independently and collaboratively to support customer deadlines and operational requirements. Provide outstanding service through daily communication with internal and external customers. To succeed in this role, you'll need these skills: Strong attention to detail when handling shipment paperwork and freight documentation. Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook and Excel. Ability to learn new systems and navigate multiple operational tools. Strong communication skills and a customer\-focused mindset. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. Basic mathematical skills for shipment calculations, freight rates, and measurements. And these qualifications: Valid driver's license required. Minimum of two years of work experience; office experience preferred. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments. Must pass a pre\-employment drug test and background screening. Extra credit if you have: Freight forwarding, operations, or transportation industry knowledge. Forklift or pallet jack experience. Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas and data management tools. * Familiarity with freight management or logistics software.
