Access/Senior Access Representative- Patient Access Center- FT Day Shift

Responsibilities: Position Summary:The incumbent provides high quality customer service to patients calling to obtain medical services at UC Irvine Medical Center. Serves as a preceptor for new staff. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum 6 months of experience working in a call center setting plus 12 months experience working in a healthcare setting or 12months experience working in a call center in a healthcare setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology Demonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and/or government programs Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Demonstrated experience working with a patient registration software system Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
