THE POSITION ---------------- Join the Bureau of Elections as an Administrative Assistant 1 and help support important statewide election processes. This position offers the chance to support essential activities that guide election administration and public communication. Your work will help maintain trusted and organized services for voters and officials across Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK ----------------------- This position provides administrative and technical support for election operations to help ensure compliance with state and federal laws. The role assists with public inquiries, data management, official documents, and communication tasks across the bureau. As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties: Public Assistance: Respond to calls, walk ins, and written inquiries related to election processes and requirements Document Preparation: Prepare commission certificates, track appointments, and assemble related forms and records Data Entry: Enter and manage data for required reports, precinct statistics, and statewide election information Publication Review: Review election materials and suggest updates to improve clarity and accuracy Record Coordination: Organize filing of precinct maps, nomination materials, and election certifications Project Support: Assist with planning and coordination for conferences, ballot certification, and key bureau projects Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full\-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday \- Friday, with a 60\-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part\-time, up to 2 days per week upon successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high\-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING \& ELIGIBILITY ------------------------------------------------ QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
