Job Overview Medical Director / Supervising Physician Position Type: Medical Director / Supervising Physician Location: NOHO/ LOS ANEGLES Employment Type: \[Part\-Time / Full\-Time / Contract] Position Overview We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Director / Supervising Physician to provide clinical oversight and medical supervision for our healthcare practice. The Medical Director will work collaboratively with Physician Assistants (PAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure the delivery of safe, high\-quality, evidence\-based patient care. This position is ideal for a physician who is interested in providing professional medical oversight while supporting an experienced clinical team and helping maintain high standards of patient care, documentation, compliance, and clinical operations. Key Responsibilities Provide appropriate medical direction, supervision, and clinical oversight for PAs, NPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Serve as the supervising/collaborating physician as required by applicable state laws, regulations, and professional standards. Establish and maintain clinical protocols, policies, and procedures. Provide consultation and guidance to clinical staff regarding patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management. Be available for clinical consultation when questions or situations require physician\-level expertise. Review and oversee clinical documentation, treatment protocols, and quality\-of\-care standards as appropriate. Participate in periodic chart reviews and quality assurance activities. Help ensure that clinical services are delivered in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Support compliance with applicable medical practice, patient safety, privacy, and documentation requirements. Collaborate with leadership to develop and improve clinical policies and procedures. Provide guidance regarding referrals, diagnostic testing, medications, and treatment plans when appropriate. Promote a culture of patient safety, professionalism, accountability, and excellent patient care. Participate in clinical and administrative meetings as mutually agreed upon. Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Active, unrestricted medical license in the state where services will be provided. Board certification or board eligibility in an appropriate medical specialty. Active DEA registration, if applicable to the position. Current professional liability/malpractice coverage or ability to obtain coverage. Experience supervising or collaborating with PAs, NPs, nurses, or other advanced practice providers preferred. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills. Professional, collaborative, and patient\-centered approach.
