Job Description The Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) is made up of every undergraduate student at the University of Nevada. ASUN provides a means for students to voice concerns and address issues at the university, local, state, national, and international levels. ASUN is seeking to hire Communication Coordinators for the Department of Campus \& Public Relations. Responsibilities To act in accordance with and support the Director \& Assistant Director of Campus \& Public Relations. To assist with departmental strategic plans and objectives. To focus on increasing the visibility of the association in the greater campus, local, state, and national communities. Produce multimedia content to release weekly updates to the students about ASUN, including but not limited to new initiatives, allocations of funds, passed legislation, and upcoming events. To cross\-promote relevant content between the association's digital media platforms, including but not limited to newsletters, blog posts, and social media. Oversee \& guide marketing positions within ASUN. Attend the ASUN Senate meetings weekly OR biweekly. Create weekly legislation digests for social media to extend transparency between the association and students. Aid the director with creating social media posts for the president. Aid the assistant director with the department's internship. To ensure that the association’s multimedia\-content and ASUN website are compliant with necessary accommodations set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act. To attend all ASUN retreats and trainings as decided by the Assistant Director of Campus \& Public Relations and the Director of Executive Outreach. Required Qualifications Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno Maintain a 2\.00 GPA and be enrolled in at least 7 credits Perform all duties and instructions outlined by the ASUN Governing Documents Uphold the Nevada Student Code of Conduct Meet all deadlines set forth, attend all required meetings and training, work scheduled hours, properly complete and submit HR paperwork on time, assist in the promotion of the mission of ASUN and Nevada, behave in a manner that is ethical, maintain a high level of integrity Other duties as called upon the position Preferred Qualifications Experience in fields such as marketing, journalism, communication studies, and/or related fields through course of study, previous work experience, or extracurricular activities Excellent written and verbal communication skills to positively represent the Executive Branch internally and externally Motivation to further the goals and initiatives under the We Are Nevada platform through: Collaborating with the Center for Student Engagement and other campus departments to increase students’ awareness of access to resources to further their success Coordinating campus\-wide surveys to undergraduate students with the Director of Executive Outreach Meeting consistently with student groups on campus to formulate initiatives and avenues of support pertinent to the limitation and duties of the Executive Branch Extending participation in and awareness of the Pack Friendly Business Program with t he ASUN Vice President Ability to work effectively and respectfully with politically, ideologically, and culturally diverse people and communities Excellent organization and project management skills in a team\-based environment with multiple projects * Flexibility and adaptability within role; ability to time manage and prioritize tasks Compensation Grade Student Employee Level 1 $3,000 distributed evenly over a 12\-month period in a single\-term Disclaimer The Association reserves the right to request additional documents for employment. Portfolio – (required) Compile a document that includes an introduction about yourself and your goals for the 94th Session for ASUN Public and Campus Relations. This includes specific ideas for defining and advancing the brand image, reach, and understanding of ASUN across diverse avenues as well as specific ideas for collaboration and events with a proposed timeline for April 2026 \- April 2027\.
